Russell was raised in Southeast Idaho and graduated from Madison High School. While in high school, he worked for his father, Gary Griffeth, a longtime physical therapist in Rexburg. This is where he developed his love for physical therapy and followed in his father's footsteps.
After graduating from Rick's College and BYU, he attended ISU, where he received his master's in physical therapy. He and his wife Becky moved to Idaho Falls in 1992, where he began practicing at Teton Physical Therapy.
They have six children and love living in Idaho Falls. Russell regularly attends advanced training courses with world-renowned doctors and physical therapists with an emphasis on best practice and evidence-based treatments for orthopedic issues.
He and his family are avid outdoor enthusiasts and participate in a wide variety of sports. Russell recognizes the importance of making a patient feel as comfortable as possible and values the relationships that he has developed with his patients over the years.
